PROPERTY PURCHASE

PLEDGE DRIVe

As our church family grows, we are feeling the limitations of our space.

  • Our student wing is at capacity.
  • Our Crew students do not currently have a dedicated space large enough for their ministry.
  • Adults often compete for limited space.

WHAT'S POSSIBLE
We are excited to share that in mid-August, we learned that the house directly behind our church at 2643 Roseland Terrace was listed for sale. The Roseland Terrace house sits directly behind our sanctuary to the east and includes a 1,600 sq. ft. home and an insulated three-car garage with plumbing and electricity located a few feet from our sanctuary windows. After much prayer, discussion, and a walkthrough of the property, our leadership believes this is a unique opportunity for our congregation to expand ministry in a way that reflects our vision and values.

  • Connect the two properties in a way that flows naturally and safely.
  • Transform the 3-car garage into the "Crew House," providing our middle and high school students a place to call their own.
  • Use the green space for fellowship, picnics, yard games, and fire pits.
  • Preserve and renovate the 1890 Roseland house, making it another reservable space for community groups, Bible studies, and para-church ministries we support.

VOTE
The session has called a corporation meeting for Sunday, September 21, 12:30pm to vote on whether to proceed with the purchase. (Members 18+, 2/3 majority).

PLEDGE

To cover renovation costs as well as improvements to our church building, we are launching a pledge drive to raise $350,000 over three years. To put this goal in perspective, $350k is 14% of our 3-year budget.

10 households give $100/wk for 3 years

20 households give $50/wk for 3 years

  5 households give $20/wk for 3 years

15 households give $10/wk for 3 years

With your help, we can complete the needed repairs and renovations to transform these buildings into spaces where youth and adults will gather and grow.

  • Pray: Join us in asking the Holy Spirit to direct our church in this decision, that we may be open to His guidance. The Lord has been so kind to our church. If this house is something the Lord wants us to have, we want to recognize that together and receive it with gratitude. If not, we are content.
  • Prepare: Join us on Sunday, September 21, at 12:30 pm for the corporation meeting to hear more, ask questions, and vote.
  • Pledge: Commit to giving to the property enhancement fund as the Lord leads

Grace and peace,
Josiah Green (on behalf of the Session)
