Believe | Belong | Become | Build

The mission of Crossroads is to walk with Jesus by believing in Him as Lord and Savior, belonging to His family through God's reconciling work, becoming disciples who joyfully submit all of life to His rule, and building His kingdom through sacrificial acts of love.

  • Believe in Jesus

What do I believe about Jesus? The Bible asks every reader to wrestle with this question. It is the most important question you will ever answer. To say “I believe in Jesus” is to say, “I believe He is who He says He is. He is Lord.” Jesus is the eternal Son of God who became man, lived perfectly, died as a substitute for sinners, was raised to life on the third day, and now lives and rules over all. This is the what the Bible calls “good news.” Believing that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of the world changes everything.

  • Belong to Family

Where do I belong? God designed us for relationship with himself and one another. Sin breaks communion, creates conflict, and ruins fellowship. The gospel of grace radically reverses the impact of sin on relationships. Through Jesus we can be reconciled back to God and to one another. The cross tears down the barriers of hostility that keep us apart. Now, the spiritual family of God can exist as a beautifully diverse community that has taken on a new identity. We now belong to God and the family of the redeemed.

  • Become a Disciple

Who do I follow? All of us orient our lives around someone or something. As Christians we are a community of Jesus followers who apprentice ourselves to Him. With Jesus as our common aim, we joyfully submit every area of life to His rule. Following Him makes us more like Him, more fully human. We are eager for others to hear the call of Jesus and walk with Him in community.

  • Build His Kingdom

What is my purpose? The mission of God is to redeem all of creation and make all things new. God is already at work in our neighborhood, city, and world. Our purpose is to be faithful witnesses to His work of renewal in the place God has us. In response to this reality, we labor through word and deed ministry, both locally and globally, to see God's kingdom come and His will be done in Maplewood as it is in Heaven.
