THE BEATITUDES

Sundays, 10:00-10:45 // REv. Jason Polk

Finding Blessing through weakness in a power-hungry world

The Beatitudes have the distinction of being one of the most quoted passages in Scripture while also being one of the most minimized and avoided passages when it comes to practical application. They sound beautiful and poetic, but can blessing really come from mourning, meekness, and persecution? Join us this fall as we explore these teachings of Jesus as a foundational path for Christian discipleship in an all too frequently violent and power-hungry world.

No matter if one has been a lifelong churchgoer, is a new Christian, or is simply curious about Christianity, there is much to learn about how the Bible and the Christian faith impact our day-to-day lives. At Crossroads, Adult Christian Education (ACE) classes help participants to explore various questions and topics that are pertinent to our lives, our work, and our relationships with God and others.

ACE classes, usually offered on Sunday mornings during the school year, utilize a variety of different methods (small and large group discussion, lecture, video, case studies, etc.) and are developed and taught by Crossroads members with interest and expertise in their topic.
